Today we’ll walk you through the turtle roll. This is a technique used to get through white water with big surfboards.
Step 1 – Approach the whitewater with speed and make sure your board is straight-on to the wave. The faster and straighter your board is, the easier it will be to execute this technique.
Step 2 – When you are one full surfboard length away (roughly 2 meters) from the approaching wave, grab the rails and flip your surfboard upside down.
Step 3 – As you brace for impact, keep your arms slightly bent and pull your nose down into the water.
